5 things: *magical overthinking*
  1. I this post by aforementioned Substack. The topics I’m actively circling around in my day to day life tend to be on the more serious side at the present. You know, the future of work, rapid tech race going on currently, how to be a successful entrepreneur and not also be a d*ck. But I found my way into the entrepreneur game via a passion for retail. I thoroughly enjoy clothes and the art of getting dressed. This quote I immediately highlighted on this week’s summed up my feelings on dressing perfectly. Elise: “When is our appearance self-expression and when is it a coerced performance?” It’s something I like to keep a pulse on and honestly a driving force between why I really don’t like to follow many style content creators. It’s never been more challenging to really know what are your own opinions these days and what you’ve picked up from a subconscious sales pitch somewhere along your digital journey. I tend to avoid reading, consuming, or writing fashion content to keep me honest. So it was highly refreshing to read an enjoyable light, but not vapid piece about apparel.

  2. In the comment section1 in post mentioned in #1, I was introduced this wonderful 36 minutes of thought provocation thanks to . I was riding my bike when I was listening so I didn’t jot down my favorite quotes but essentially it would have been the entirety of the interview so it was probably for the best. I immediately subscribed to her Substack and bought her audio book, as one professional rabbit-holer does. Although I might have to snag the hard copy, because, swoon.

  3. My work wife, Mames, sent me these life changing jeans (as well as these heels I will wear incessantly, a sequin taco sweatshirt this is sadly sold out but also a new core part of my identity, and these jeans that I do love but I would qualify as life-changing because I didn’t even know how much I needed biking approved on trend jeans.) If you are in the market for a few happy adds to your spring/ summer line up, I am very proud of the assortment we have this season.

  4. One of my favorite people I have stalked and forced to be friends with me artists, Kiira, launched a major collab with Candlefish this weekend. The happiness explosion that was beaming from the window’s of the flagship store on King St made my entire weekend. I currently have the candle lit next to me which, yes, I would have bought regardless because that’s what Stans do but it’s DELIGHTFUL. Fresh but not too earthy, but also not too sweet either? Don’t follow me for written expression of scent profiles but do trust me that you won’t be disappointed by snagging this one online blindly.

  5. One thing about me, I live for a seasonally sensitive treat. King cakes. Creole tomatoes. Crawfish. Peaches. This one might be a tease if you aren’t in a short radius to a coast, but it’s soft shell crab season over in CHS and boy of boy if my taste buds aren’t in some sort of hyperfixation over this Softie Big Mac I had at Edmond’s Oast Brewing a few weekends ago.

See you next time! Until then- you can find me in every form of DM’s (including here on substack!)
